Hao Huang Taing

Director

Hao Huang Taing, born and raised in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, is a youth leader and marketer at the Minnesota Star Tribune. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, Hao founded Local4Local, an international non-profit organization that uplifts the livelihoods of cyclo drivers and combats food insecurity for informal workers in Cambodia.


A talented photographer, Hao has spearheaded impactful projects like Apsara Granny, Cyclo King, and the World’s Largest Cyclo, celebrating the rich narratives of Cambodian culture. Recognized on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, Hao is dedicated to grassroots changemaking through creative storytelling and community partnerships. As a board member of the Cambodian American Partnership of Minnesota, he brings optimism and innovation to his mission of cultural preservation and community empowerment.
