Chinda Gregor

Founder & Executive Director

Chinda Kim Gregor is a first-generation refugee who fled Siem Reap, Cambodia, with her mother in 1980 and immigrated to Minnesota. She is one of the founders of the Cambodian American Partnership of Minnesota (CAPMN) and currently serves as its Executive Director.

Chinda was the Project Manager for the first Cambodian Heritage Celebration held on September 23, 2023. She worked diligently to ensure that Cambodians in Minnesota were visible in the state’s history and successfully secured a proclamation recognizing Cambodian Heritage.

With over 25 years of experience in education, Chinda is passionate about sharing the Cambodian-American experience with the people of Minnesota. She is currently an ESL teacher at Bloomington Public Schools and previously served as an Equity Specialist for 16 years. Chinda has extensive experience in coordinating and organizing educational and cultural events.

Chinda is deeply committed to educational equity and believes that education should provide equal opportunities for success for all individuals. The impact she has had on her students is evident in their success and growing confidence, both in and out of the classroom. Her teaching and mentoring philosophy centers on helping each individual embrace and share their identity, history, and culture with their community.

As an advocate for educational equity and the Cambodian-American experience, Chinda strives to raise awareness of the rich history and traditions her community brings to the state of Minnesota.
